Official Rules & Regulations of the 1st Annual Big Bill’$ Lil’ Rubber Duckie Race

Presented by the Brainerd Jaycees


1.  Duckies will be launched into the Mississippi River off the Laurel Street Bridge in Brainerd, MN at 1:00 PM, on Saturday April 23, 2011.  Weather conditions or other interference may affect the race time as determined by the presenter.

2.  All duckies entered will be provided by the Presenter and shall remain property of the Presenter.

3.  Once duckies are launched, they are on their own.  No attempt to free or interfere with any duckie is permitted.  Any duckies finishing after prizes have been awarded will be ineligible for prizes.

4.  All duckies are numbered with each number assigned based on the information supplied on the duckie adoption form.  The person whose name appears on the application corresponding to the numbers on the first thirty duckies will be awarded prizes, the duckies will be funneled into a single file line to cross the finish line with the first duck awarded $2500.00.  Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entrants.

5.  The combined retail value of all prizes will be at least $6000.00.  Presenter reserves the right, at its sole option, to substitute prizes of comparable value.  No cash equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of designated prizes.  Any and all taxes and similar fees, are the sole responsibility of the winner.  By entering, entrant releases presenter all its members and other related entities from any and all liabilities with respect to prizes.

6.  If presenter determines in its discretion that the race cannot occur at the scheduled time for any reason, presenter can postpone the race to another date and time by public announcement thereof.

7.  No refunds will be given for any reason, tickets will be purchased for cash/check only.  Telephone orders can not be accepted.

8.  Must be at least 18 years of age to claim prize per Minnesota gambling laws.  Any person 18 years or older who adopted a duckie  is eligible to claim prize including members of the Brainerd Jaycees and anyone else who helped adopt out the duckies.

9.  Every attempt will be made to contact the winners, but if unable to contact the winners within 30 days, your prize will be forfeited back to the presenter.

10.  Contestants and/or spectators are responsible for their own safety, actions, and property at all times.  All laws of the State of Minnesota will be abided by.  

11.  Failure to comply with contest rules subjects contestants to disqualification and removal of competition site, as determined by contest officials.  Right to refuse to sell and/or revoke a competition ticket to anyone is hereby reserved.

12.  All contestants and others hereby consent to the use of any names, photographs or likenesses of themselves to be used in the promotion of our contest, including but not limited to print, radio, television, or any other media.

13.  All decisions and interpretations of the rules and regulations will be made by the presenter and the judgment is final.  The event is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

14.  All contest updates available and valid only from www.lilrubberduckie.com.
